Here at Rankin McManus, we are excited to be part of another large-scale dairy project with Open Country Dairy. We have been assigned as the electrical contractors through Ebert Construction for the new Open Country milk processing plant being built at Horotiu in the Waikato.
The project sees us continuing our work in the dairy field. It will be the 8th major plant that we have worked on in the last few years. Besides the current work at Open Country Dairy powder plant, other powder tower projects have included electrical installations for the Yashilli Dairy Plant in Pokeno, the Dairy Goat Co-Operative in Hamilton, and the new Fonterra Lichfield power tower in the Central North Island.
We are proud to be awarded this current project based on our previous experience, as well as our extensive knowledge in food safety and the necessary hygiene requirements. We currently have between 10 and 15 staff completing the electrical installation at Horotiu. We are doing everything we can to get the plant ready for processing the new milk!
